Kansas Farm Bureau
Kansas Farm Bureau represents grassroots agriculture. Established in 1919, this non-profit advocacy organization supports farm families who earn their living in a changing industry. Their Mission is To serve Farm Bureau members in Kansas through programs, products and services which enhance the business and profession of farming, increase members net income, provide superior value in the marketplace and improve the quality of life in Kansas. Simply put, if it impacts farmers, ranchers or rural Kansas communities, Kansas Farm Bureau is involved with it. Kansas Farm Bureau stands up for its members through leadership development, agriculture education, legal defense, environmental advocacy, farm safety, risk management, rural development and international trade.
Kansas Farm Bureau is a collection of men, women and families with talent, skill, intelligence, wisdom and faith, who understand that together, they are stronger and smarter than they are alone. There is an organized County Farm Bureau organization in each of Kansas 105 counties. Each County FB is governed by an elected board of directors, comprised of active farmers and/or ranchers within that county. Kansas Farm Bureau is governed by a board of directors, each of whom is a farmer or rancher, elected by their farmer/rancher Farm Bureau member peers. The membership also elects a farmer/rancher member to serve as president and vice-president.
